After high imploration from the public, Android has finally bring out an alternative way to produce a custom emoticons"emoji". This was made possible because of the public request for it because sometimes there are still time when you can find the ideal emoticon to make known of yourself. Rather than waiting for Android to install that to you in the next emoticon update - it's high time you produce your own emoticon without anyone providing you with what is not real.

Thus, you can use any image you want - even if it's camera images or downloaded images. This emoticons can also be shared on any social media with your friends. In no wasting of your time, let's get started.

5 reasons to buy the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017)

samsung galaxy a3

The Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) is a great mid range device. Samsung hasn’t managed to avoid all faults with this phone but it without a doubt includes a range of functions and features that definitely play in its favor. Here are 5 reasons to opt for the Galaxy A3 (2017).

Before revealing the strengths of this device, it’s important to acknowledge its weaknesses. This way you can ensure that, as a potential buyer, your final decision is based on all the facts from both sides of the coin. The phone was released with Android 6.0.1, an Android interface that has now been available for several months. Samsung didn’t consider it necessary to install Android Nougat on the device, which reflects the fragmentation problem that affects the various Android versions.

Some also criticize the device’s poor internal memory (16 GB), as photography enthusiasts and/or multimedia fans will quickly use up the available space. While it is possible to use a microSD card, we shouldn't place such high expectations on a mid-range device. That said, this sector of the market is evolving and Samsung must move along with it otherwise it will loose out to other manufacturers that are likely to take the lead. One final downside: the price is still quite high, even when you consider all the device’s advantages.

1. It's waterproof
The waterproof feature often seems to be reserved for top-range devices, especially at Samsung. Luckily, things have changed this year because Samsung has decided to make its A3 and A5 models waterproof. Both devices have an IP68 certification, just the same as that which was given to their big brother: the Samsung Galaxy S7.

This certification means they are protected against water and dust. Not only can you use your device in the rain but you can submerge it in water up to 1.5 meters deep for a maximum duration of 30 minutes. Sounds too good to be true?

2. It's compact in size
This is probably the smartphone’s main selling point. While the current trend is for manufacturers to produce devices with larger screens (to such an extent that foldable screen technology is now being developed), some users still remain loyal to screens measuring less than 5 inches. Unfortunately, relatively few manufacturers are producing high-quality devices with a small screen. In the top-range domain, there are hardly any and in the mid range market, Sony is the only one: Sony Xperia Z5 Compact (former top-range Sony) and Sony Xperia X Compact.

The new Samsung Galaxy A3 has the advantage of being less expensive than the Sony Xperia X Compact and is also waterproof, a concept that Sony abandoned with its X Compact. With a 4.7-inch screen, the A3 2017 will delight all compact screen enthusiasts.

3. It has good battery life
Last year, one of the A3’s main strengths was its battery life. This year, again, the phone doesn’t let its users down. That said, it's important to point out that Samsung does everything it can to optimize the device: the slight improvements in capacity compared to the previous model (from 2,300 to 2,350 mAh) and the simple HD definition (720 x 1,280) enable these excellent results.

"The slight improvements in capacity compared to the previous model and the simple HD definition enable these excellent results."

The battery life obviously depends on how you use your smartphone but if you use your device intensively (videos, chats, games…), you should get at least a day and a half of battery life. You can double your battery life with moderate usage!

4. It comes with a great camera
Generally, mid-range devices don’t stand out because of their cameras. Everything taken into consideration, the A3’s camera is great. Of course, it doesn’t have the same potential the high-end devices have but it still allows you to take high-quality images with the 13 megapixel camera and an f/1.9 aperture.

Sometimes you have to take your time taking a photo in order to get the best lighting but on the whole, the photos are good and details are captured well. When lighting isn’t great, the quality is affected but we were satisfied with the results for a camera in this range.

samsung galaxy a3

5. Its design and finish is worthy of the Samsung Galaxy S7
The Samsung Galaxy S7 was the design inspiration for the A3 and A5, that much is obvious. The Galaxy S7 is a beautiful smartphone and this new A3 is just as elegant. The finishes are perfect, the handling is excellent, it’s a visual delight… The brushed casing is as close to perfection as you can manage - even the camera lens barely protrudes. However, while we’re talking about the back of the phone, it's important to point out that it has a glass cover.

On the front, on the Home button, Samsung has placed a fingerprint scanner. On the right hand side, there is a SIM card and microSD card slot. Samsung is therefore offering us more than ever on a device designed for the mid-range market.

Are you considering buying the Samsung A3 (2017)? Do you think is it still too expensive for a mid-range device? Let us know in the comments below.

Graphs: 10% Of Installed Apps Are Ignored After One Week

Ah, that new app is the best, you'll tell tell your friends to download the app. You just can't wait to download and install the app because you feel you've discovered the best application you've been searching for.

After installing the application, you'll notice that you use the application very often (for instance, take Grand Theft Auto Sandreas). After about 4-6 weeks you'll notice that you don't use that app very often. You'll begin to wonder why you downloaded the app in the first place.

No doubt, smartphone users mostly experience this. Based on the latest survey carried out by Apps Flyer about 4% to 5% of smartphone users use the apps for about one month after the app was installed.
Even Worse, about 10% of smartphone users are using most apps that were installed one week ago. Although this information sounds bad, it's actually an improvement over last year's data for apps that are non-organical.

To cut the long story short, we tend to spend less time with the application we want to install and we tend to spend little much time on those applications which developers are trying to get us to install (for instance, educative ebooks).

From the research carried out by Apps Flyer, they discovered that android users are ready to keep applications they discovered themselves while iPhone users keep non-organical apps on their phone because most applications are being purchased. In addition to these, only 2% app installations results in cash transactions.

My Opinion
The more an app remains in your phone, the lesser you tend to use the app.

How To Make Your Android Keyboard Play Sounds While Typing

Android Operating system is one of the phones that is highly customizable. Sometimes, we use these capabilities to add core functionality or streamline the user experience, but there are other times when customization is just about having fun and making your smartphone's interface look more smart.

The latter is the category where a new app from developer Quadban Yousseff comes into play, as it turns any Android keyboard into a musical instrument of sorts. You can pick from several synthesized strings, horns, and percussions, then every letter on your keyboard will play a different note as you type. It's really a fun little tweak, so I'll show you how it works below.

musical android keyboard

Install Keyusic
To turn your keyboard into a musical instrument, get started by installing Youssef's app, which is called Keyusic -Keyboard Sounds.

Install Keyusic for free from the Google
Play Store

Enable The Accessibility Service
Open Keyusic, then tap the toggle switch next to the "Start up" option. From here, you'll be prompted to enable the app's Accessibility service, so tap "Show the Settings" on the popup. After that, select Keyusic from the list, enable the switch at the top of the screen, and press "OK" when prompted.

Enable The Musical Keyboard
With the Accessibility service enabled, head back to Keyusic and tap the "Start up" toggle switch again—this time it'll actually turn on. From here, you've got two options: Either tap the + button at the bottom of the screen, then select individual apps that you'd like to use the musical keyboard in, or simply enable the "Global activation" switch if you'd like to use the musical keyboard in all of your apps.

Enjoy Your New Musical Keyboard
From now on, your keyboard will simply make music as you type. The sound level is tied into your system media volume, so you'll probably want to set that somewhere in the middle to ensure that you can hear the sounds without them being too over the top. Each letter on your keyboard will play a different note, too, so the words you type will be like mini musical compositions!

Please don't forget to share this info using the below social share button or you can also share this post by using any of the social button in the floating widget, thanks.

Millions Of Apps Might Be Removed From Google Playstore

google playstore

Over the last 24 hours, Google has been sending notices to developers worldwide stating its intention to “limit visibility” or remove apps from the Play Store that violate the company’s User Data Policy. For most devs, the violation seems to be a simple one: lack of a privacy policy.

Here’s the full text:

google playstore news

"Android app developers not following Google's directions could find their apps removed from the Play Store"

According to a report published yesterday, Google is about to remove a large number of apps from the Google Play Store. Certain app developers around the world have received an email from Google claiming that their apps are violating the tech giant's User Data Policy concerning personal and sensitive information. When an app asks for, or receives personal or device information, the developer is supposed to provide a "valid privacy policy" to consumers.

App developers who received the email have the privilege to provide a link to a valid privacy policy to their app's listing page or within the app starting from now till March 15th.
Or, they have to re-edit their app so that it doesn't requests for sensitive permissions such as the camera, microphone, contacts, accounts and phone. Permission to receive user data will also have to come down. Those who fail to provide a link might find visibility to their app reduced, or have the app removed from the Play Store by Google.

Some Android developers welcomed the move, saying that will help Google remove junk apps from the Play Store. Assuming that a large number of developers simply allow Google to remove their apps, it will help Android users wade through the smaller number of apps available to find exactly what they are looking for.

Jack Cooney, an app developer quoted

"I think it’s fantastic, this will clear the Google Play store of so many junk and zombie apps that our games will find increased visibility on the store as the search terms will become much less cluttered. This will make it easier for people to be able to find our app’s like Hop Hop Ninja! with better keyword searches like ninja or Nerd Agency and find much more relevant results."-Jack Cooney, developer, Hip Hop Ninja!"

As of the end of last year, there were believed to be 2.6 million apps in the Google Play Store. It should be interesting to see what that figure is culled down to once this purge is completed.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017): unboxing and first look

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has just arrived in our office and it's time to unbox it and take a quick first look at this attractive combination of glass and metal, a phone more affordable than a flagship, but looking exactly like one.

The Galaxy A5 (2017) will be the right phone for a lot of people: it features a 5.2-inch display, which is a very comfortable, golden mean size that is neither too small, nor too large. It's also more affordable than high end iPhones and Pixels, an important advantage in a world where many people find that more affordable phones are good enough for them.

THE A5 (2017) COMES WITH AN EFFICIENT CHIP, PROMISING GREAT BATTERY LIFE

Yet, the Galaxy A5 (2017) makes a few compromises in the performance and camera departments, the two key areas of differentiation these days. A quick glance through the specs reveals the welcome presence of the Samsung Exynos 7 Octa 7880, a chip that might be less powerful than the top crop, but one built on a modern, 14nm manufacturing process, ensuring it has top-notch power efficiency and promising to help achieve great battery life on the new A5.

We will look explore the Galaxy A5 (2017) in more detail in our full review that is coming up soon, but right now let's focus on unboxing this sleek new handset and looking at what is in the box. The first thing you notice is that you get an unremarkable white box (nothing like the fancy black box of the S7 with its elegant magnetic closure). Let's peek inside:

What is in the box:

• Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) model SM-A520F
• User Manual
• Sim ejector tool

• USB-A to USB-C cable

• White Samsung earbuds with replaceable rubber tips

• Adaptive Fast Charging wall charger (15 watts peak, 9V and 1.67V, or 5V and 2A)

Samsung Galaxy A7

The Features

5.2"
1080 x 1920 pixels
16 MP:16 MP front
Samsung Exynos 7 Octa
RAM: 3 GB
BATTERY: 3000 mAh (16h 3G talk time)
MEMORY: 32 GB + MicroSD
Announced: Jan 2, 2017

This is quite the full package. We're happy to see that the A5 (2017) supports Samsung's Fast Adaptive Charging and ships with a quick charger in the box. It can push out as much as 15 watts of power, which will make recharging that 3,000 mAh battery cell in the phone faster.
There is also a USB-A to USB-C cable, a white one of sufficient length; a SIM ejector tool is always a nice thing to have and the basic white Samsung earbuds come with different sized replaceable rubber tips.

NOT AS POWERFUL AS A FLAGSHIP, BUT BUILT AS TOUGH AS ONE

Our first impressions of the Galaxy A5 (2017) is that it feels very well put together. It is not lightweight, but it is not too heavy either. It has a nice, substantial feel in the hand, a heft that suits it. On the list of specs you can also find water protection. The phone is IP 68 certified, which is the highest level of protection and means that the phone is water resistant to a maximum depth of 5 feet (1.5m) for up to 30 minutes, and is also protected from dust, dirt and sand. This is achieved without any fiddly extra caps or covers and means you need to worry less about damaging it.

One of the most peculiar features about this handset is the loudspeaker that is positioned on the side, just above the power / lock key. A strange position, it looks surprisingly practical as you don't cover it with your fingers when you hold the phone in either portrait or landscape.

What about battery life, performance, benchmarks and a general conclusion over whether it's worth buying the Galaxy A5 (2017)? Stay tuned for our full review coming up soon for all of that.
