Graphs: 10% Of Installed Apps Are Ignored After One Week

Ah, that new app is the best, you'll tell tell your friends to download the app. You just can't wait to download and install the app because you feel you've discovered the best application you've been searching for.

After installing the application, you'll notice that you use the application very often (for instance, take Grand Theft Auto Sandreas). After about 4-6 weeks you'll notice that you don't use that app very often. You'll begin to wonder why you downloaded the app in the first place.

No doubt, smartphone users mostly experience this. Based on the latest survey carried out by Apps Flyer about 4% to 5% of smartphone users use the apps for about one month after the app was installed.
Even Worse, about 10% of smartphone users are using most apps that were installed one week ago. Although this information sounds bad, it's actually an improvement over last year's data for apps that are non-organical.

To cut the long story short, we tend to spend less time with the application we want to install and we tend to spend little much time on those applications which developers are trying to get us to install (for instance, educative ebooks).

From the research carried out by Apps Flyer, they discovered that android users are ready to keep applications they discovered themselves while iPhone users keep non-organical apps on their phone because most applications are being purchased. In addition to these, only 2% app installations results in cash transactions.

My Opinion
The more an app remains in your phone, the lesser you tend to use the app.

How To Make Your Android Keyboard Play Sounds While Typing

Android Operating system is one of the phones that is highly customizable. Sometimes, we use these capabilities to add core functionality or streamline the user experience, but there are other times when customization is just about having fun and making your smartphone's interface look more smart.

The latter is the category where a new app from developer Quadban Yousseff comes into play, as it turns any Android keyboard into a musical instrument of sorts. You can pick from several synthesized strings, horns, and percussions, then every letter on your keyboard will play a different note as you type. It's really a fun little tweak, so I'll show you how it works below.

musical android keyboard

Install Keyusic
To turn your keyboard into a musical instrument, get started by installing Youssef's app, which is called Keyusic -Keyboard Sounds.

Install Keyusic for free from the Google
Play Store

Enable The Accessibility Service
Open Keyusic, then tap the toggle switch next to the "Start up" option. From here, you'll be prompted to enable the app's Accessibility service, so tap "Show the Settings" on the popup. After that, select Keyusic from the list, enable the switch at the top of the screen, and press "OK" when prompted.

Enable The Musical Keyboard
With the Accessibility service enabled, head back to Keyusic and tap the "Start up" toggle switch again—this time it'll actually turn on. From here, you've got two options: Either tap the + button at the bottom of the screen, then select individual apps that you'd like to use the musical keyboard in, or simply enable the "Global activation" switch if you'd like to use the musical keyboard in all of your apps.

Enjoy Your New Musical Keyboard
From now on, your keyboard will simply make music as you type. The sound level is tied into your system media volume, so you'll probably want to set that somewhere in the middle to ensure that you can hear the sounds without them being too over the top. Each letter on your keyboard will play a different note, too, so the words you type will be like mini musical compositions!

Please don't forget to share this info using the below social share button or you can also share this post by using any of the social button in the floating widget, thanks.

Millions Of Apps Might Be Removed From Google Playstore

google playstore

Over the last 24 hours, Google has been sending notices to developers worldwide stating its intention to “limit visibility” or remove apps from the Play Store that violate the company’s User Data Policy. For most devs, the violation seems to be a simple one: lack of a privacy policy.

Here’s the full text:

google playstore news

"Android app developers not following Google's directions could find their apps removed from the Play Store"

According to a report published yesterday, Google is about to remove a large number of apps from the Google Play Store. Certain app developers around the world have received an email from Google claiming that their apps are violating the tech giant's User Data Policy concerning personal and sensitive information. When an app asks for, or receives personal or device information, the developer is supposed to provide a "valid privacy policy" to consumers.

App developers who received the email have the privilege to provide a link to a valid privacy policy to their app's listing page or within the app starting from now till March 15th.
Or, they have to re-edit their app so that it doesn't requests for sensitive permissions such as the camera, microphone, contacts, accounts and phone. Permission to receive user data will also have to come down. Those who fail to provide a link might find visibility to their app reduced, or have the app removed from the Play Store by Google.

Some Android developers welcomed the move, saying that will help Google remove junk apps from the Play Store. Assuming that a large number of developers simply allow Google to remove their apps, it will help Android users wade through the smaller number of apps available to find exactly what they are looking for.

Jack Cooney, an app developer quoted

"I think it’s fantastic, this will clear the Google Play store of so many junk and zombie apps that our games will find increased visibility on the store as the search terms will become much less cluttered. This will make it easier for people to be able to find our app’s like Hop Hop Ninja! with better keyword searches like ninja or Nerd Agency and find much more relevant results."-Jack Cooney, developer, Hip Hop Ninja!"

As of the end of last year, there were believed to be 2.6 million apps in the Google Play Store. It should be interesting to see what that figure is culled down to once this purge is completed.
